Synthetic Turf Management embraced the opportunity to work on this fantastic project, which involved the design and installation of artificial turf for rugby pitch areas at Twickenham, such as artificial sidelines and pitch run offs. Of course, synthetic turf can be used for more than just sports, so we were pleased when we were asked to install some landscape areas around the car park too. STM also designed synthetic grass logo mats for sponsors, Nike and 02; a great reason to employ our creativity and showcase the various different used for artificial turf.

Synthetic Turf Management has been recognised by the International Rugby Board in their research, which is designed to control and measure the quality of artificial turfs. We were thrilled when we were contracted to supply and install artificial grass run off areas around the Twickenham Rugby pitch in London; the home of the England Rugby Union. At STM, we love to get involved with high-profile projects such as this; it really lets us employ our artificial turf expertise.

It was exciting to work alongside global brands, Nike and 02, who were the main sponsors of England RFU. We designed and cut their logos into special synthetic turf that is suitable for this kind of logo branding. The logos were embedded in front of the main stand.

We also designed and produced the England Rugby Football Union logo, which was then placed in front of the players’ tunnel for the Rugby World Cup.

We were extremely pleased with the results and thoroughly enjoyed working with such prestigious names. Synthetic Turf Management is contracted for the continual artificial turf maintenance required in certain areas of Twickenham stadium.
