Education MUGAs Resurfacing

We recently completed work at Corley Centre in Coventry on upgrading their existing Tarmac MUGA to an artificial grass surface. The existing surface was old and worn and the children at the centre weren’t getting any enjoyment out of using it due to its dull look and lack of colourful line markings.

The school wanted a truly multi use design so the children could participate in different sports and also use it during break times. We came with a design for the MUGA to incorporate Tennis, Basketball and short tennis/badminton all using different colours so it is easy to differentiate the different sports.

For this project we used a 10mm shock pad and Evo surfacing which means the school have a system that meets FIH Multiuse standard.

Now it is complete the children at the Corley centre are able to use this space daily for outdoor education and also for break times. The MUGA now not only looks fantastic but is a safe space for the children to enjoy all year round.
