Carlton Junior and Infants School – Playground Resurfacing Dewsbury

Primary Education Resurfacing

The school had an older tarmac playground that had seen better days. The school approached STM on the back of a previous West Yorkshire project that transformed their dull yard into a safe, colourful and inspiring area for both sport and play.

Synthetic Turf Management worked with the school to design the MUGA colour scheme and markings based on ideas from the PE staff and children.

Prior to the surfacing installation our team cleaned and levelled the tarmac based and installed edging to secure the surface. The product selection was the 18mm DuraMatch by Sterling Turf with the rust surround and blue inners with the netball markings to be used also for football and general play. The DuraMatch artificial turf product is accredited to Gen 2 Multi Sport making the surface durable allowing the school to hire out for wider community use.

From start to finish the installation took 7 days to complete with the school amazed by the transformation and the surface performance.
