Last week we took a trip up North to Shiremoor where we were excited to get delved into a brand new playground roadway to add to the PE facilities in the school and create an attractive area for the school grounds. In today’s blog we are going to go through everything we installed at Shiremoor to create the playground roadway and what is included by choosing STM.

The installation of 100 square metres of our freeway product ensures a durable surface that will last! This was complete with a roadway consisting of traffic lights and a zebra crossing!

The roadway is created using a different coloured artificial grass which is cut and secured into the surface

A playground roadway such as this one above, is advantageous to your school as it can be used as part of a physical education session. The surface was also completed with a 5mm pad to help cushion falls and provide softer landings.

5kg per square metre of silica sand were used as the infill of this multi-use surface.

Final sanding and grooming of the surface should be completed efficiently.
