Design School Playground Surfaces with Personalised CAD Design

Every week here at Synthetic Turf Management we are asked to push boundaries and create designs we never have before, this week it was ‘Duck Duck Goose’ playground surfaces; a popular classic game which was around even when we were young! That is what is great about STM playground surfaces, they allow you to open your mind and create something individual for your school. So we encourage you to ask the children, parents, teachers and everyone else involved to get creative and we and use our special CAD design technology accommodating your needs.

Today we are going to give you a little help and show you just some of the EPIC playground surfaces that we have completed before starting with…

The Roadway 

Artificial grass is quite often the ‘go-to’ product when it comes to roadways. This is because it is durable enough to withstand playground equipment such as bikes and go-karts and a great use of the surrounding space at the edge of your surface. Quite often, schools wish to put other designs in the centre of the roadway to make use out of the existing space. Roadways come in all sorts of colours and designs. You may choose a black roadway to give a realistic look, or you could choose to use white turf markings cut into the existing surface which is another popular choice.

Fun and Colourful Designs

You may remember our installation at Galley Hill Primary School, this is a great example of how we use artificial grass to create fun creatures that don’t just engage pupils, but they also educate too. From phonics squares to number games, take maths and English outside with playground surfaces that are built to educate.

Education

Sticking with the education side of things, for older children (perhaps key stage 2) you may want to create something a little more age-appropriate. Coordinate and number grids are very popular for just that, and we can do it in any colour or design you want helping to reiterate learning in different environments so that it sticks in the mind.

What Next?

Of course, it doesn’t just stop there. Every day we get asked to create something different and we want you to challenge us, there isn’t much we cannot do with synthetic grass.

Playground surfaces could be the key to spruce up your school from the outside in, to challenge pupils and engage them throughout the whole of the school day.
