On Monday 8th February STM were invited to the SAPCA Conference and Annual Dinner at The Chesford Grange Hotel, Warwickshire. It was an enjoyable event where successful businesses and individuals come together to recognise outstanding achievements from the previous year.
As a whole team we were incredibly proud to be nominated for this amazing award and when our efforts are recognised by such a well-known and professional body within the industry, as SAPCA, we strive to be the best we can be for our customers.
A very happy Dave Peacock, Projects Director, with Eric Page, SAPCA Director.
In October 2015, a school MUGA and 3G pitch at Northfield School were installed in Billingham and this was nominated because of the huge scale of the 6,000sqm2 MUGA, the school satisfaction and the outstanding outcome at the end.
Before the MUGA was designed and installed, the playground was outdated, unsafe in some aspects due to the crumbling concrete floor and pupils had no clear markings to play the sports that they know and love.
Before and after: dull concrete to colourful and innovative synthetic turf
A school MUGA with a long jump pitch perfect for an educational setting, and learning through sports and play.
Now this space offers the school a 9-a-side and a 5-a-side football pitch, 4 tennis courts, netball and hockey pitches as well as a six land 60m sprint track and a long jump area.
The finished outcome was astonishing and SAPCA clearly agreed with us

Students responded incredibly well to the project which helped to promote health and well-being in the school through the use of exercise in the school playground. MUGA’s also engage students and are very beneficial for PE sessions as they can be used all year round, are very safe and suitable for all weather types- rain or snow!
Standout, be a state-of-the-art school with a custom designed MUGA to your liking.
