STM are Guests at Rally Day

Last Thursday our team headed down to Silverstone in Northamptonshire to attend our suppliers’ rally day! We thoroughly enjoyed the day and learned some valuable skills whilst building up relationships with people operating in the same industry.

 You may all think of Formula 1 and the Octo British Grand Prix when you think of Silverstone, however you may not have thought about it for the purpose it was used for in the Race Day 2016. Our suppliers hosted this fun and exciting event to communicate their values and beliefs in addition to providing facts and tips on turf in the synthetic grass industry. This helps for all corporate customers to use the best and most advanced technology in artificial turf so that our customers get the highest quality in the market.

Synthetic Turf Management always aim to attend such events as they help retain the best possible relationships with our supplier and we meet great fantastic people! We started the day by having a short walk around Silverstone and admiring the samples that they had to offer.

The sample stands were fantastic and gave us a realistic view of the turf types they had to offer. This overlooked Silverstone race track.

The Rally Experience

Then it was time for the rally experience and what good fun it was!

Silverstone put on a fantastic race rally day experience where you can speed over the uneven terrain and practice handbrake turns whilst the rest of the team have a good laugh! Not only are team building skills enhanced but the whole topic of the day was talking about artificial turf as that is what we all specialised in and wanted to find out more about.

The Awards

And what was to make the day even better than a special presentation of the awards, this added a bit of friendly competition to the day!

We won the Day Team Champions 2016! And here we are with the other recipients of the award.

And our very own director Jon Bell managed to grab himself an award too… Worst Driver Award 2016!

The Wooden Spoon Award goes to Jon Bell.

All in all, the race day was superb and we would like to thank everyone for all of their hard work and effort in putting on such a great event!
