Earlier in the week the STM team travelled over three hours away from our head office in North Yorkshire to Kenilworth, Warwickshire. It was here that the SAPCA Annual Conference and Dinner was taking place this year. Along with the excellent wine, food and entertainment came a fantastically structured programme involving networking, guest speakers, masterclasses and “Building an Active Nation”.
One of the main aims of STM is to encourage more people to not only play sport regularly, but to reencourage others to take up a sport, to exercise and most importantly, enjoy it! That’s why we promote our relationship with SAPCA and love working alongside them to create the best sporting environment for all!
At the Chesford Grange Hotel, we spent two days building up relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, governing bodies and various other partners within the industry to indeed “Build an Active Nation”.
SAPCA Conference 2017
The days were filled with great talks from Dr Colin Young from Labosport talking about infill, John Steele and Andy Reed discussing Brexit and its implications on sport.
On the evening, we were thrilled to have been a finalist in the Award for Excellence. It is fantastic to see our hard work recognised and this particular install of 2016 from Hutton Rudby Tennis Club really was an achievement!

Then it was time to talk sport; to discuss government requirements, sport in schools, leisure centres, professional clubs. New and improved products, the next generation and standards of sport throughout the country.
A fantastic turnout with the best in the industry
All in all, the STM team thoroughly enjoy the SAPCA conferences year in year out and find it a great opportunity to come together with fellow businesses and deliver the best in sports, now and yet to come!
Thanks SAPCA! (We love the new branding too)!
