Last week Synthetic Turf Management were at St Cuthbert’s Primary School in Stockton preparing their primary school playground for summer. In May we see a surge in more people rushing to get their artificial turf surfaces ready and looking great for these summer months as increased usage means you should pay particular attention to these areas.
The EPIC surface at St Cuthbert’s consisted of a roadway, trim trail, shapes, number lines and benches as part of the play equipment.
Primary School Playground at St Cuthbert’s Primary School
Primary school playgrounds are a priority within education. As you probably are aware, learning doesn’t stop, especially at primary school age children pick up on everything around them and need to be inspired by the outdoor areas. We think that our EPIC primary school playground surfaces are full of colour and inspiration encouraging each and every student to spend more time outside exploring the world outdoors.
Roadways are very popular as part of the surface as they can be used in P.E sessions of all different ages. STM always bear in mind the age of the children using the surface when we are designing the primary school playground surfaces to ensure the correct measurements cater to the ability and age of pupils.
Number lines are often included as part of the surface to bring mathematics outdoors and reiterate learning to children.
The colourful turf in this project attracted children to the surface and encourages healthy active lifestyles.
STM can also provide fencing solutions to your playground to promote a safe environment for all children.
Primary school playgrounds should get paid particular attention when it comes to the learning and development of pupils, particularly for the younger ages. Remember most children spend up to 2 hours a day in their playgrounds therefore it is important to ensure a safe, active, educational and creative environment for all to enjoy!
