Sports Funding for Your New Project- What is Available?

Whether you are a school, sports club, leisure facility or other activity ground, there is potential funding in place to revamp your facilities. Therefore, if you would love a new playground, MUGA, tennis court or 5-a-side football pitch but don’t have the necessary funds in place, there so much that can help you. Sport England

Sport England  are an organisation that set out to engage and encourage more people to take up sport regardless of their age, background or ability. In a bid to get more people active, Sport England provide sports funding for organisations who share the same values as they do. With 25% of their resources this year going straight towards tackling inactivity, and with up to £10 million worth of funding available, this could be the option for you. Alongside the governments aims if your project helps to tackle:

  • Physical Wellbeing
  • Mental Wellbeing
  • Individual Development
  • Social and Community Development
  • Economic Development

Rugby Football Foundation

The Rugby Football Foundation is a charitable trust established by the Rugby Football Union who aim to promote participation in rugby across England. They provide access to grants and loans to help secure your project. With funding up to £100,000 available, you could get that dream 3g rugby pitch! 

The National Hockey Foundation

As you may already know by now, at STM our artificial grass adheres to FIH standards and we aim to promote hockey to more wider markets. The National Hockey Foundation is a charitable trust that aim to support the development of sport.

The charity focuses on:

  • Young people and hockey
  • Young people and sport in Milton Keynes
  • Enabling the development of hockey at youth or community level
  • Smaller charities

Lawn Tennis Association (LTA)

The Lawn Tennis Association focuses purely on tennis and aims to allow more people to play the sport more often. It also emphasises the importance of allowing every player to perform to their full potential, something that we pride ourselves on at STM. We ensure we use the most advanced products that allow every player to do this and that is why we think the LTA’s funding is great for all tennis projects.

Football Foundation

The Football Foundation offer grants for a variety of different schemes. With up to £500,000 available you can achieve that dream artificial turf pitch or MUGA. Particularly, The FA facilities gives grants to projects that aim to improve facilities in local communities not just for football but other sports too!
