Another Year at Wimbledon for STM Tennis Surface Installers

We still can’t believe that it has been a year since our last install for the Wimbledon Championships in London.

STM were contracted yet again for the fourth year in a row to create the corporate HSBC court 20. The 2017 installation saw the likes of many celebrities and tennis players use the court along with members of the public from Judy Murray to Anton Du Beke!

The individual tennis court surface is designed and constructed with our British manufactured artificial turf. The line markings are cut into the surface and the final touches of a tennis net are erected.

Court 20 is a great base for many people in the Wimbledon queue to pass some time and practice their skills.

We received the final images yesterday and the court looked fantastic yet again!

Artificial grass for any event is a great option, not just for sports. But due to its durability and all-weather surface, plus it is quick to install and take down, it was perfect for the Wimbledon project.
