Whaley Whaley Good at Whale Hill Primary School’s Synthetic Surface

31st October 2016

This Autumn marks the start (and finish) of our Whale Hill Primary School synthetic surface installation. With 157 square metres of artificial grass we are able to transform this outdated and tired looking play surface to a fantastic, bright, colourful and miraculous looking masterpiece!

So often we hear of schools opting for a number of surfaces which just don’t have the lifespan that artificial turf synthetic surfaces offer. Coupled with poor maintenance this can drastically decrease the performance of the surface. But what should you do about it?

Whale Hill got the correct idea by opting for a synthetic surface designed, supplied and installed by us Synthetic Turf Management. It will solve all of these problems and much more! STM can provide equipment, fencing, lighting and other additional features to make your play surface the best around!

Before the installation the surface was in need of a good revamp!

The existing wet pour rubber was full of contaminants and had lost its colour

It was not the most attractive looking area.

Part of the project was to extend the length of the existing surface, something that was absolutely no problem for the team at STM! We went on to prepare the base works (remember a synthetic surface is only as good as the surface it is built on!)

And what could we create with a high quality turf type and a team of fantastic installers…?

The finished result is right here and it is ‘whaley-whaley’ good (see what we did there!?)
