What does it take to stand out? To make your school grounds more attractive? There are so many ways to do this; an EPIC playground surfaces, elite school sports facility, SEN specialist area or a primary school landscaping project installed with the wonders of artificial turf!
That’s exactly what Whale Hill Primary School did. This school based in Eston, Middlesbrough have chosen to transform their school this Autumn and our team have been hard at work ensuring that the new landscaping area is ‘top notch’ that will last for years to come.
Primary school landscaping is a popular choice to get rid of that old, dingy or uneven area and replacing it with something brand new, colourful and of course 100% safe!
Before the artificial grass
Before STM appeared at the scene the old tarmac surface was very discoloured and often perceived as uninviting to pupils. Cast your minds forward to the end of the year, when there is the transition period from year 2 to year 3, reception to year 1, or even year 5 to year 6. This is often a hard-enough time as it is for pupils as they are having to cope with a complete change of scenery, brand new teacher and sometimes new students. To make this whole process a little easier, making the school facilities look fantastic and giving the children ‘something to look forward to’ when they transition into their next academic year could make all the difference.
That’s why we are here. Whale Hill Primary School have gained premises to be proud of, to show off, to take classes outside, to use as part of PE sessions. Yes, the surface is designed to eliminate slips and trips so the possibilities go far and wide on what can be done on the surface.
Before and after Synthetic Turf Management
After a careful preparation of the base works to make sure that the surface is safe, smooth and the trip free edges are installed. The surface is brushed and infilled with a silica sand and voila!
We install drainage in the most appropriate places to make this an all-weather proof surface.
