STM Featured in SportsNation Magazine

22nd January 2026

We’re proud to share that Synthetic Turf Management (STM) has been featured in the latest issue of SportsNation, highlighting our work on a school multi-sport facility at Shipston High School.

The feature focuses on STM’s transformation of the school’s ageing tarmac courts, which had reached the end of their service life. Cracking surfaces, worn edges, and outdated infrastructure meant the area no longer met the demands of modern school sport.

STM delivered a complete upgrade, replacing the old surface with a high-performance synthetic turf system designed for intensive daily use. The project included a new porous macadam base for effective drainage, shock pad installation for improved comfort and safety, upgraded fencing and LED floodlighting, and fresh multi-sport court markings.

The finished facility now provides a durable, professional-standard space suitable for netball, hockey, tennis, and general physical activity.

The case study also highlights STM’s membership of SAPCA, underlining our commitment to quality, safety, and industry best practice.

Being featured in SportsNation recognises the work we do to support schools and communities with long-lasting, high-quality sports surfaces across the UK.

If you’re planning a school or community sports surface upgrade, contact STM to discuss your requirements.
