At Synthetic Turf Management (STM), we’re passionate about creating vibrant, safe, and inspiring spaces where students can thrive. Our recent project at Oasis Academy Lister Park in Bradford perfectly showcases how innovative design and premium materials can completely revitalise a school’s outdoor sports facilities.
STM was delighted to secure the competitive tender for this project, building on our strong relationship with the Oasis Academy Trust. Having successfully delivered several tennis court resurfacing and MUGA installations for the trust, our proven track record, quality workmanship, and commitment to customer satisfaction helped us win the opportunity once again.
The transformation began with a complete refurbishment of the existing macadam courts. Our installation process included:
Deep cleaning and preparation of the original surface
Supply and installation of a 10mm performance shock pad for added comfort and player safety
Installation of TigerTurf Evo Pro 18mm sand-dressed artificial grass
Final brushing and grooming of the sand infill for optimum playability and finish
This high-performance surface is engineered for heavy school use, offering:
Excellent ball control and consistent bounce for both tennis and netball
Durable, UV-stable turf designed for year-round use
Enhanced comfort and safety for students during PE and extracurricular play
Multi-Use Games Areas (MUGAs) maximise the value of outdoor sports facilities by providing a single, versatile space suitable for a wide range of activities — from tennis and netball to informal play and team training.
Following the successful surface installation, STM was awarded an additional contract to enhance the site with secure perimeter fencing. We supplied and installed:
183 linear metres of 3m-high twin-bar, green MUGA fencing
A robust, attractive, and safe enclosure to ensure secure play and easy supervision
