Social Mobility and Education Funding for Primary PE and Sport Up £1.3billion

19th July 2017

AFPE recently published an article stating the government are injecting an additional £1.3billion in schools. This is to be used to improve the social mobility and education of pupils all over the UK. And with a huge emphasis being focussed on primary school physical education and sport. This is a great opportunity for all schools to be able to contribute significantly to the overall health, fitness, activity and wellbeing of thousands of children. But it is also an opportunity to significantly promote social skills and enhancing education too.

And that is exactly what we stand for at Synthetic Turf Management

We were delighted to hear that the government are continually investing in something that is so close to our heart.

“I am confirming our commitment to doubling the physical education and sports premium for primary schools. All primary schools will receive an increase in their PE and sports premium funding in the next academic year”

Making a Difference

The installation team are always in schools every week completing projects that make a difference. In the most cost-effective way we work with headteachers, facility managers, caretakers, parents, governors and even pupils themselves to create a project that will be beneficial to everyone. And we love to see the end result.

Handale Primary School pupils pleased with their new Primary PE and Sport synthetic surface. Headteacher Mrs Buckley commented, “We now have a really attractive multi-purpose area, which the children love. It is used every day in a range of ways keeping all personalities happy”.

We are excited to see the upcoming projects over the few years and social mobility and education to be on the rise for primary PE and sport.
