Northampton School Nursery: EPIC Playground

22nd May 2014

Another day, another fantastic project delivered. This time, we were thrilled to be helping Quinton House School Nursery, who asked us to install one of our EPIC (Education & Play In Colour) playground surfaces. This job was a unique one; Quinton House is a prestigious and picturesque school, set in a Grade I listed building with a truly magical atmosphere.

Artificial grass playground surface for Quinton House School

The project involved laying artificial turf over cobbled stone areas that could not be disturbed due to the listed status of the building, requiring great attention to detail from the STM team. The end result, however, was well worth it, with a soft, safe surface now in place of the hard cobbles. We used Play Green turf for the project, which gave a really natural look and feel to the beautiful building’s surrounds.

“We were asked by Quinton House School to provide a safe, year-round usable surface for the nursery children to play on. The existing cobbled stone areas belong to a listed building so they could not be disturbed in any way. The children were falling down on the uneven surface so STM were pleased to come to the rescue. In one day the team transformed the nursery play area into a vibrant, usable and, above all, safe environment for the pupils to thrive in.” - Jason Link, Regional Sales Manager, STM

Our EPIC playground surfaces can incorporate all sorts of educative and fun markings to help get pupils outdoors and active. We offer a range of different turfs to choose from, and loads of additional options to make sure each project we deliver is perfect for that school. All of our EPIC playground surfaces are bespoke; it’s important to us to listen carefully to every school we work with to make sure they get everything they need.
