From playground surfaces to rooftop gardens: it’s all going on!

3rd April 2014

In the name of keeping you in the loop, we thought it’d be great to let you know what’s going on with us. We’re pretty busy, which we love, and wanted to share the joy of our latest artificial grass endeavours.

We’ve just finished a fantastic rooftop garden project for Trinity Roofs. It involved serious hard work, a lot of creativity, and some downright impressive grass-carpet lifting. It’s no easy feat getting heavy rolls of artificial grass that high, let us tell you! Of course, it was nothing the STM team couldn’t handle. What’s more, it was so worth the stunning results (if we do say so ourselves). The project really let us employ our expertise in this area. Not to blow our own trumpet or anything. The installation required technical skills that are unique to rooftop laying projects; it was really cool to get to use our knowledge to produce something totally unique.

Just a few more artificial grass playground surfaces..

Moving on, we’re really looking forward to getting our teeth sunk into some brilliant education projects. You know how we love to create fun spaces for kids. It’s all about getting children active, and creating playground surfaces that invite learning and play.

Next week we’ll be installing a MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) for Wilton Primary School in Lazenby, Middlesbrough. This is going to be a corker. Netball, mini tennis, football, an activity trail; it’s the stuff playground dreams are made of. We’ll be using high quality coloured artificial grass to produce the pitch markings. It’ll be a colourful, sporty and playful bonanza and we can’t wait to show you the finished results. Watch this space.

We’ll also be getting busy with a really creative project for KTS Academy, a school that teaches children aged three to nineteen with statements of educational needs. We’ve designed a super colourful, super imaginative sensory garden. It involves ladybirds, dragonflies and bees, oh and an underwater world full of seahorses. Sounds good, doesn’t it? We think it’s going to be spectacular.

So there you have it, you’re up to date with the inner workings of the STM brain. If you like the sound of what you read, don’t forget we’re only a phone call away.
