Cullercoats Primary School New EPIC Nursery area

Cullercoats Primary School – North Shields appointed Synthetic Turf Management (STM) to design and build a new “EPIC” Education Play in Colour for the Nursery area.

We planned and designed the playground with the school to bring colour into the space using blue for the mountain range and green for the timber climber.

The key design feature was to provide a durable safety surface with timber play equipment suitable for children under 6 years. The synthetic turf surfacing with colours broke up the spaces into play zones including a roadway for the bikes.

10mm performance pad was laid under the synthetic grass prior to support the artificial grass which is sand dressed.

The feedback from the school was amazing on handover as they now have colourful, fun and safe learning environment.
