2016 So Far at Synthetic Turf Management

18th July 2016

2016 has been a busy one so far and we haven’t even got into the peak of the summer months yet. We have seen a surge in synthetic turf projects throughout all aspects of applications including schools, landscaping, indoor projects, sports and so much more! As people start to recognise the fantastic benefits that synthetic turf has, the uses of it are pushing boundaries and delivering fantastic results!

Synthetic turf has so many different uses and with its properties of being completely weather proof and low maintenance, more people are opting for this cost effective option, in particular for sports pitches where users can extend their performance due to the sport accredited British manufactured turf. For playgrounds, schools can benefit from less-abrasive turf which can create a much softer landing from a critical fall height with shock pads.

In this edition of our blog updates, we have collated five of our sensational synthetic turf projects which we think have made 2016 a fantastic year in the world of artificial grass!

We are kicking off with a unique installation of a peace garden at Wilkes Green Primary School. This consisted of a variety of different turf colours and character designs including flowers, insects and a rainbow. Situated outside of the classroom this was a great area for everyone to see and appreciate, it just shows what you can do with a small area of space.

You may have remembered our stories centred around Wimbledon in June where we completed an ITF approved tennis court for the HSBC Court 20, where we saw the likes of Tim Henman playing the sport on our completed surface. Tennis enquiries have since come pouring in!

Then there’s Bookwell Primary School who opted for a MUGA to revamp their school sports facilities. Including were a running track, netball court, hockey and football pitch which made use of the bespoke markings and allow for the surface to be optimised in terms of space.

Remember West Jesmond School? This landscaping area was perfectly installed using synthetic turf to minimise the mud and mess whilst also allowing room for an attractive looking surface. Now when children walk on this artificial grass, there will be no trailing the mud inside the classroom on a mess and miserable day!
