So, we are solving your problems today in how you can turn your tarmac or concrete nursery surface into something so much more.
Ferryhill Station Primary School approached us in the Autumn wanting to completely transform the look of their nursery playground surface.
During the on-site consultation, our specialist examined the area and decided that the base was sufficient enough to provide good draining and therefore an EPIC overlay was recommended.
A CAD design is then specifically created to allow every one of our clients to design their own surface.
The CAD is made up of green play turf, a hopscotch, phonics tiles, alphabet line, frog and shapes.
Most of the artificial turf designs are made up first and then transported to site, this saves time and inconvenience for our clients as we can complete the install in a shorter time period.
A huge 270 square metres of nursery playground surface artificial grass are then fitted onto the existing surface. For this install we also included a 5mm rubber padding underlay to meet safety requirements.
The phonics frog is happy surrounded by his lily pad phonics tiles.
This install was particularly a very popular one at STM. The phonics frog was something the team had never done before, and the finished design looked fantastic. We will be using this for future installs as we think it is a fun way in which learning can be transferred outdoors.
