This brings us to our Romford primary school project in Essex. In April this year, we were contacted and asked about our playground overlays. This is a cost-effective way of keeping your current tarmac playground but adding more colour and facilities to create a better learning environment. 

Our main aim is to use the existing surface as much as possible. In this project, we patched up the base where there were delves, cracks and crumbly tarmac. 

A rubber padding is then fitted as a softer underlay and the artificial grass follows. 

Sports markings were included in the artificial turf playground to assist with PE activitites. This included netball court and mini basketball. 

A combination of blue and yellow turf were used as they are Lambourne Primary School's colours. Our signature tuf hopscotch also made an appearance.

The school were absolutely "made up" with their new turf surface.
