Wimbledon Tennis Court Installation 2016!

Last week, knowing that we would be in Wimbledon with the new tennis court installation, we took a trip back to the HSBC tennis courts we installed last year. Well now we have completed the 2016 installation in the perfect time ready for Wimbledon starting this week! Who are you cheering on? Well if you happen to be around Wimbledon people may be cheering you on if you have a bit of a play about on the corporate HSBC tennis court (supplied and installed by Synthetic Turf Management (STM)). 

Court 20 was transformed on Friday with ITF approved artificial turf to deliver a corporate tennis court installation for HSBC. We were honoured to come back to such a high profile event and delighted that the customers were so pleased with the tennis court installation in 2015, that they wanted us back for the same project this year.

We completed this tennis court as we do with any of our installations: with passion, enthusiasm and pride in what we do! STM tennis courts are usually completed with Advantage Pro which is a British manufactured grass type designed to deliver the highest performance for tennis.

So let’s get down to it…

In any installation, the base works need to be properly prepared to ensure a safe and smooth high performance surface. If this is not completed correctly there could be all sorts of issues with drainage in particular and safety. This is always a priority at STM.

 Then comes the grass carpet. We prepared all of the pitch markings and ensured that the tennis court installation portrayed that beautiful sea of field green!
