Primary School’s Playground Transformation…

3rd December 2015

At Synthetic Turf Management we see no greater compliment then to be asked back to a school to complete more work after finishing one of our synthetic turf playground projects and this was the case at St Saviours Primary School.
St Saviours Primary School in Birmingham had a great summer this year as STM installed a stunning sports area transforming an old, concrete playground into a stunning synthetic turf play area; but this wasn’t the end of the story for the West Midlands based school as STM where asked to transform another area of the school, a testament to the high standard of work that we always work too at STM.
This is the THIRD installation we have done at this school and we are proud that St Saviours keep asking STM for help.
The first project we completed this summer was the sports area. The existing area was very outdated with faded painted markings on a hard concrete surface. In primary school play areas that are concrete look dull and don’t engage young children in exercise or outdoor learning.

The old playground at St Saviours was hard concrete surface that wasn’t very inviting for the schools pupils.

They are also very hard and dangerous for children running around as falls are common in schools and concrete is never a good surface to fall on.

Another look at the old playground in Birmingham.

We came to the school to help transform this area with our British manufactured artificial turf. We went for a traditional green pitch and used a red turf to boarder the pitch and make it effortlessly fit in with the schools colour scheme.

STM worked with the school to design a quality play area that would suit the schools needs perfectly.

To add even more personal touches we created a fantastic school logo with artificial turf and added this to the centre of the pitch to really make this installation unique for St Saviours. We create stunning logos using artificial turf.

Another Personal Touch at St Saviours Primary School with their school logo built into the pitch.

In the entrance to the new play area we added some more personal touches and the final project ended up looking great. The all-weather turf means the school can now lay outside safely year round and the pupils have a play area that they can’t wait to get out and exercise on.

The new pitch looks much more inviting and its a massive transformation from the old area.

The school where so happy with this installation that STM where asked back to transform the nursery area, which can be read about in the second part of this blog which will be up soon so keep an eye out.

We completed the final project with matching benches and a new multi use games goal so the pitch can be used for all sorts of sports maximising the schools space.
