Fifth Fusiliers Brand New Indoor 3G Pitch is Played on for the First Time!

Indoor 3G pitches are popping up all over the UK and this was no exception for 5^th Battalion Royal Regiment of Fusiliers who decided to add to their gym, climbing wall and boxing ring by the installation if a brand-new pitch. Transforming their old warehouse into a fantastic indoor space.

Synthetic Turf Management’s Installation Team went to Newcastle and were able to patch up the existing flooring and install directly on the surface. This is one of the most cost-effective ways to obtain the perfect pitch. 

As specialist installers we know the ins and outs of what works best for our clients and knew what could be achieved with the new pitch and how it would contribute to the overall health, wellbeing and enjoyment of many individuals. That is why we were so pleased to take on the job!355 square metres of specialist football product Atomic Pro 60 (Manufactured by TigerTurf) were fit onto the surface and traditional football markings were cut into the grass.

Standing at 60mm this classic 3G product is infilled with a layer of sand and then a layer of rubber crumb. To complete the indoor 3G pitch fencing boards were installed around the surface to enclose the area and allow for better play.
