Hockey Pitch Installation & Resurfacing

Synthetic turf hockey pitches will reach the end of their lifespan after a good number of years.

It is important to know when you need a full resurface and how you go about doing it.

Synthetic hockey pitches will eventually reach the end of their life-cycle. The performance, feel and look of the pitch will begin to decrease.

At this stage it’s important to consider hockey pitch resurfacing to ensure the surface is performing at its best. Avoiding resurfaces can be costly as hockey pitches will lose their performance properties and play characteristics like ball bounce, ball roll, consistency and slide resistance. Its drainage properties will begin to degrade as its passes the end of its life.

This is why resurfacing is so important and it gives the sports club or school the perfect opportunity to improve their facility with new and high performance hockey products that can transform performance, look and feel of hockey pitches.

STM have great experience resurfacing hockey pitches and our project at Kings Academy was the perfect example of a school upgrading their facilities during the resurfacing project with STM.

We understand that a resurfacing project is big task and that’s why STM use our expertise to guide our clients through every step of a resurfacing project, starting with a free consultation.

All clubs and schools that are looking for hockey pitch resurfacing from STM are entitled to a free consultation from our expert team. Our knowledge and expertise means we can give advice on how long existing pitches have on their lifecycles, when will be the best time for a resurface and what will be the best methods. This also gives you the opportunity to discuss other project aspects such as fencing . We understand that not all schools have the funds to carry out a resurface when it’s needed so we can offer maintenance advice to help schools extend the lifespan until funds become available.
