Site Survey

Following the initial feasibility study and having established the first Design Stage 1 we move to the site survey.

Following the initial feasibility study and having established the first Design Stage 1 we move to the site survey.

Every project will be different in terms of size of the construction, land conditions and location. Regardless, Synthetic Turf Management ensure a full survey is completed ensuring the initial concept outlined can be delivered within the environment.

All the information gathered will ensure not only the project will achieve best value also but guide project to developing the Design throughout Stage 2.

Synthetic Turf Management have both in-house operatives and specialist geo-investigation teams to complete the surveying. The survey will initially involve locating and measuring natural and man-made features to gather data such as elevation, angles and boundaries.

Factors such as Geo-technical, Ecology, Archaeology, Drainage, Lighting assessment, Acoustic are all examples of some research and data required. Larger projects will require further more detailed information. For example; flood risk.

The research is gathered by completing:

  • Land Survey – both ground and aerial (if required)
  • Photography including access roads leading to the facility
  • Geo – investigation looking at the land condition and sampling (this would include testing for contamination in the ground)
  • CAD design and 3D modelling.
